Howth Peninsula Hiking Tour

At the appointed time we'll meet at the Spire monument. We'll make our way to the train station and leave Dublin city centre behind us and head for the small fishing village of Howth. The journey will take approximately 30 minutes.

Howth is situated on a peninsula at the northern end of Dublin Bay. The village is a haven of peace, popular with the Irish at weekends, as well as with tourists wishing to get in touch with the Irish countryside.

To discover all the charms of the area, we'll set out on a walking tour of the Howth Peninsula. During the walk, we'll enjoy incredible views of the Irish Sea and, if the day is clear, we'll be able to see the Mourne Mountains in the neighbouring country.

We'll stroll along the Howth fishing pier and wander the extensive grounds of the castle - did you know that the grounds of this fortress are home to a golf course? As we walk we'll come across beech and azalea trees. We'll also see a megalithic tomb or dolmen that is over 3000 years old!

The walk will take you along the high cliffs of the peninsula and upwards to Ben of Howth, the highest point in the village, and you won't stop taking photos!

After the walk, we'll go to a local restaurant and allow you an hour for lunch. Refreshed, we'll head back to the train station to return to Dublin.

We'll finish the tour arriving back at the starting point between seven and a half and eight hours after the start of the activity.
